We are looking for a motivated, athletic individual to join our pack. 

The ideal person for this job must have a proven record of reliability, punctuality and be an insurable driver. This person will possess a love for dogs, be personable, patient, strong, a good communicator and have a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities :

  • Morning & afternoon off leash hikes lasting at least an hour and a half each as well as occasional mid-day on leash walks and puppy visits.

  • Be physically capable and comfortable walking large dogs. We walk groups of 5-8 dogs ranging in weight up to 110 lbs. Must be strong enough and fit enough to handle 400 lbs of dog.

  • Must be comfortable with dogs of varying personalities and behaviors. Must have an understanding that dogs are animals and be willing to work with various methods of training in support of our clients and their training.

  • We walk rain or shine, hot or cold … Must be willing to work in all weather conditions.

  • Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm M-F. 40 hours per week guaranteed.

Requirements:

  • Must be over 21

  • Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check

  • Cell phone and email and be responsive to both in a timely manner

  • RELIABLE AND RESPONSIBLE

  • Be highly detail oriented and have the ability to follow direction and stay on schedule.

  • GPS or smartphone w/ navigation a plus (we do a lot of driving!)

  • Live in or near Newton/Wellesley/Natick and/or have familiarity with Newton & Wellesley.

  • Good sense of direction

  • Consider yourself an athletic person … This is a very physical and active job.

  • Able to work well as a team. Like our dogs, we work best in a pack.

  • Experience working with dogs a plus but not required
