Saying Goodbye to Fudge
It's never easy for us to say goodbye to one of our pack but this one is hitting me especially hard.
Fudge joined Beantown Hounds at four months old and despite being a challenging dog quickly became one of my favorite dogs to work with. Over the next six years, we overcame obstacles and grew together to be a better dog walker and dog. He learned to swim with a lack of grace that never failed to make me laugh. And over time all his quirks only made me love him more. When he moved to Chicago two and half years ago I was crushed. It felt like losing one of my best friends. So when I received a message from his mom yesterday that he had passed, I was devastated.
Today i'll spend time thinking about all the fun we had together and know he's swimming and chasing the ball and watching over me.
RIP Fudgey. Thanks for everything.
