Duncan

Yesterday we said goodbye to Duncan, Marjie's 18 year old giant schnauzer/black lab mix. We share this news with a heavy heart. Duncan has been an old man for as long as I've known him which is just a testament to his long and wonderful life. He was still joining us at the park up until about two months ago. In the last two weeks, he started to show signs of his age. Last weekend, he let Marjie know he was ready. After spending half her life with him, it was a difficult decision for Marjie but she knew it was the right one. Marjie gave him the best final week possible. He spent last weekend on the Cape where he's spent so many summers. She was able to coordinate for him to see old friends, family and roommates - they've lived in 7 different houses and apartments together!! He went swimming at the Ashland Reservoir and last night he had steak for dinner. We are so lucky to get to share in the lives of so many four legged buddies. So we wanted to share with you the life of one of our own and favorites. When Marjie is feeling up to it, we're going to put together a little tribute to him on the website. 18 years deserves to be truly honored and celebrated.You done good D-man!
